Kenya kills three ladies attackers of Mombasa police station


Three ladies have been killed after attempting to stage an assault on the essential police station within the Kenyan port metropolis of Mombasa, officers say.

The ladies, sporting hijabs, entered the station saying they needed to report a criminal offense, police say.

One of many ladies pulled a knife and one other threw a petroleum bomb, beginning a hearth. Two officers have been injured.

It isn’t clear who’s behind the assault, however Islamist group al-Shabab has staged quite a few assaults in Kenya.

The Somali-based group has been focusing on Kenya since 2011, when Kenyan troops have been deployed to rid Somalia of the militants.

Al-Shabab has recruited tons of of Kenyans, particularly round Mombasa which has a big Muslim inhabitants.

Al-Shabab mentioned it was behind the bloodbath at Garissa College in April 2015, during which 147 individuals have been killed, and the assault on Nairobi’s Westgate buying centre in 2013 during which 68 individuals have been killed.
